January 31, 2001 The I-129F Petition Mailed

Sent certified mail with a return receipt

February 7, 2001 Post office receipt is received

Well it's about time :) At Least I know they have it.

February 10, 2001 The first INS Notice of Action "Received" in the mail

The notice said they received it on 2/2/2001, Notice date 2/6/2001. It also states that it usually takes 15 to 21 days to process it. Plus it give a Phone # to call when I can check on the case status. Click here to view what the form looks like.

February 14, 2001 I called the INS 24 hour automated system just to see what it may say

Believe it or not but it said that my petition was approved and the Embassy in Moscow was notified through cable on February 13, 2001. Yee Haw That was fast. It sure suprized me and what a great surprise it is.

February 17, 2001 The second Notice of Action "Approval" in the mail

Wow can you believe that :) They received the petition on 2/2/2001 and it was approved 2/13/2001. That is amazing coming from the INS. Imagine that it only took 11 days. They are getting good here. I will keep you informed as new things start to happen.

March 5, 2001 Emailed the Embassy in Moscow to inquire about the status of the petition.

I recieved a response from the Embassy the same day. I wasn't expecting them to respond so quickly. I thought it would be more like a month as it usually takes or sometimes no response at all. They set Louisa's interview date for April 3, 2001 and she still hasn't received her packet from the Embassy stating what forms and documents she will need to have prepared for the interview. That's weird. That is the same time I will be there visiting her. She will be changing the interview date because there is to much going on at that time for her to get all that info together and ready.

March 8, 2001 Louisa received The packet in the mail from the US Embassy.

She emailed me and told me that she needed help with the questions that came in the packet so I called her and we talk about it and she said she will call the embassy to change the date and get answers to her question. (I wished her good Luck. I feel sorry for her having to deal with that kind of frustration :):):)

March 15, 2001 Louisa gets her new interview date with the Embassy.

Today I got an email from Louisa's Mother since Louisa is in Moscow due to her Job and she can't email me :( Anyway She emailed me and said that Louisa was able to change her interview date to April 12. Louisa also scheduled her medical exam for the interview for April 10, the day after I leave her to come back to American.

April 12, 2001 Louisa has her interview with the U.S. Embassy.

Louisa Went to the Embassy today for her interview and she was granted her K-1 Visa. Yeeeee Hawwwwwww Oh Baby how sweet it is. I am going to celebrate :):):) I just wish she was here with me now to celebrate it with me :):):) Great Job Sweetheart. I LOVE YOU!!! To see what the K-1 Visa Looks like Click Here.

May 14, 2001 I bought Louisa's airline ticket and mailed it to her today.

Well it's another step closer for us to be together and I am very excited but I just wish the time would move a little faster because it seems to be moving very slowly and I don't know if I can take waiting any more :):):)

May 24, 2001 Louisa received the plane ticket in the mail

I'm glad it got there safly. I never had any mail get lost that I sent to her but that would have been my luck if it did so I was happy to know she got it. It only took a little over 1 week. Wow that was fast :):):)

August 5, 2001 Louisa arrives in the USA

Yee Hawwww, Finally the long wait is over and today I picked her up at the JFK Airport in New York. She went through Immigration with no problem and she got her Employment Authorization Stamp :):):) I got there about 11:30am and her plane was to arrive at 1:40pm so I was all excited that soon I would see my Sweetheart. When I got in the airport and looked at the monitor, it said her plane wouldn't be arriving until 4:15pm. Wow now that's my kind of luck. I guess I should have expected that. Anyway it was great to see her walk through the doors and I got to hug and kiss her finally :)

August 6, 2001 Louisa Applied for her Social Security No.

Today Louisa and I went down to the Social Security Office and applied for her Number. We didn't have to wait long. The guy was very nice. He took the filled out applicaton and made a copy of her passport and the I-94 form with the employment Authorized stamp and said that the card will take 10-21 days to arrive in the mail.

October 6, 2001 We Are finally Married.

Today Finally came. We tied the knot and it was such a awesome feeling. Louisa had such a gorgous Wedding Gown. She looked so beautiful. Well it's now over and it's time to strart working on the status of Adjustment paperwork. Oh no here we go again. You know how I love working with the INS :):):) I will keep you infored of things as they happen so I will talk to you then.

October 25, 2001 I -485 Adjustment of Status paperwork and I-765 Employment authorization Mailed today.

We Took a break from doing any paperwork for the INS but we finally put the Adjustment of Status Paperwork in order and sent it off to the Vermont Service center.

December 11, 2001 INS Returned our Adjustment of Status Paperwork with a rejection notice.

We had a little setback. The Adjustment of status paperwork was returned to us from the INS withe a rejection notice stating that we must take the paperwork to our local INS office instead of sending it to the Vermont Service Center. Boy how stupid do I feel right about now :):):)

December 12, 2001 We went to our local INS office with the paperwork.

Today we went to Hartford Connecticut INS office to bring the Adjustment of Status Paperwork. We went in and we were given a Number and we had to wait until they would call us to the window. The workers seemed to be very crabby and I was not looking forward to dealing with them today. when our number was called we went to the window and gave them all of our paperwork. The I-485 Adjustment of Status, I-765 Employment Authorization, and the I-131 Advance Parole and the women looked at everything and made sure we had all the proper documents and supporting documents. She said ecerything was there and that we would have to wait 90 days for the work authorization to be approved, and up to six months for her to get an appointment for her Interview for her adjustment of status and 90 days for her advance Parole document to be issued so now we just have to wait and I will keep you informed as to things as they happen. Until then :)

December 27, 2001 Advance Parole Document came in the mail today.

Wow that was fast. The INS told us it could take 90 days to get it but it only took about 2 weeks. They are doing good now :):):) We were a little disappointed because we were hoping that it was her work authorization but no luck there.

January 12, 2002 Received an appointment notice from INS for Louisa to be fingerprinted.

Louisa is scheduled to have her fingerprints taken on January 29, 2002. I will fill you in on what happened. Still waing for Louisa's work authorization.

January 29, 2002 Louisa went to be fingerprinted.

We went to get louisa Fingerprinted today. Although She wasn't feeling very well that day she made it down there just to get it over with :):):)

March 12, 2002 Paid INS a visit.

We drove to Hartford to pay the INS a visit. We haven't heard anything about her work authorization and it's been 90 days as they promised so when we got there we had to take a number and wait and wait and wait. Finally we get to speak to Someone about this matter. They told us that the computer broke and they are one month behind. They also went to check our file to make sure it wasn't done. The said it wasn't processed yet so it will be another month before she will get her card. That was a big disappointment to both of us. Oh what a joy it is to work with the INS :):):) ok so we will be waiting another month now.

April 15, 2002 Another Visit to the INS.

Still we haven't heard anything from the INS. We went back down to visit them. Guess what they told us this time? They told us that they sent us a letter on March 7, 2002 which we never got or else we would have never went down to inquire about it on march 12, 2002 in the which they told us on March 12 that it hasn't been processed yet. Wow I think these people are bright don't you? They told us that since we didn't show up we will have to wait another month to get another appointment. Now does this make any sense to you? I still can't figure them out down there.

April 16, 2002 Decided to go back to the INS to Question.

We woke up this morning and I felt sick to think we were getting the run around from the INS this way so I told Louisa come on lets get ready were going back to get some answers as well as demand the Work authorization card from them. We went back and I blew up on them. I told them off. After about 4 hours of not backing down and demanding she got her work authorization. It was finally given to her.

Sorry for being a slacker. I forgot to record the timeline information about her obtaining her green card. I don't have the dates but she did get it :):):)
July 14, 2004 Filed the I-751 Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence.
