What Documents and forms do I need to send in with the I-129F?

Forms and supporting Documents - Send with the I-129F Petition:

1.) Signed and dated Cover Letter listing all the documents in the packet! Click Here to see a sample.

2.) I-129F Petition with accompanying money order for $95.00.

3.) Birth certificate for the U.S. Citizen to prove Citizenship. Use a Photocopy and send the original to your fiancé(e) so they will have it for their interview at the U.S. Embassy

4.) FC-029 "Copy Certification" form signed and dated. Click Here to see a sample.

5.) Proof of having met in the past two years

6.) Evidence of a valid relationship

7.) Photocopy of your U.S. Passport identification page.

8.) Two G-325A forms signed and dated. One for your fiancé(e) and one for yourself.

9.) Two adit pictures for each of you as specified on the INS Form M-378. The Pictures must be taken within 30 days of your submission of the petition. Place the Photographs in a clear Plastic bag with "Photographs" Printed on it and attach them to the G-325A forms. Also you must lightly print your names on the back of the Photographs using a pencil or felt tip pen.

11.) Photocopies of any death certificates of a previous spouse that you or your fiancé(e) may have had with a Certified translation into english.

12.) Photocopies of any divorce decrees terminating a previous marriage that you or your fiancé(e) may have had with a Certified translation into english.



Proof of having met in the past two years:

Send Photocopies with the I-129F and send the originals to your fiancé(e) for her Interview.
Here are some examples of what you can send:

  • Pictures of the two of you together
  • Photocopy of plane ticket stubs/boarding passes
  • Photocopy of passport stamp page
  • Photocopy of subway and/or train passes
  • Photocopy of Foreign Currency
  • Photocopy of Receipts from purchases made by you
  • Photocopy of engagement ring receipt

Evidence Of a valid Relationship:

Send Photocopies with the I-129F and send the originals to your fiancé(e) for her Interview.

  • Photocopy of Telephone bills

If you still need to obtain the forms to get the Process started then you have two options in obtaining the forms. They can all be ordered directly from the INS for free, you can order them from their website, that is where I got mine, or you can call toll-free to 1-800-870-3676. It took about 2 weeks to get them when I ordered mine from the website.
